Monument to the Excluded Middle

HOUSE, Brighton, 2013

A temporary timber structure partially wrapped in scaffold sheeting and enclosed by Heras fencing, commissioned by HOUSE 2013 for St Peter's Gardens, Brighton.

The call for proposals invited site-specific works thematically linked to the work of Mariele Neudecker. In the absence of any preannounced sites, we proposed a temporary monument that professed indifference to its immediate location and audience.
